Supporting Youth

PTCI envisions reaching the wider community in Barbados. Therefore, whenever called upon to assist in ways that fall within the mandate of the charity, a hand is extended.

In working with the youth, they supported a group of Barbados Community College (BCC) students by coordinating a tour to Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds (HMPD) as a part of their Associate Degree in Applied Arts – Theatre end of term presentation which saw students portraying prison inmates and officers. A financial donation was also made to the student’s final portfolio production, ‘Red Harvest’, which came off at the Frank Collymore Hall in May 2016.

Other youth supported activities include:

  • Donating to the Intune Vocal Coaching (IVC) and Notes of Praise musical productions
  • Providing experiences for students that add to their life skills and personal development.
  • Assisting with school fees (text books, exams and petty fees) for students in need.
  • Sponsoring students attending the Brewsters Trust Football Camp (2017).

PTCI continues their reach to the community by supporting IVC students with their annual recitals and small or short term projects implemented by schools and other agencies who work with youth.
